Penalty clauses in bank loans
From an article in The Australian today:
That's weird. I thought the vigorous and efficient "competition" between the banks is all consumers need to get the best possible deal. Our banks would never stoop to anti-competitive behaviour purely to make a quick buck at the expense of their valued customers. They would not, I tell you.
Let's not mention that 30-40% of the cost in changing loans is due to government stamp duty.
